SMART Stress Management and Resilience Training
Why Stress Management Belongs in Primary Care
A large share of visits to primary care providers are for stress-related conditions. Stress shows up as headaches, poor sleep, high blood pressure, digestive complaints, and worsening control of chronic disease. It also shows up in the care team, as fatigue, turnover, and burnout.
Healers have recognized the importance of mind-body connections for millennia. Mind-body medicine is built on the interplay between feelings, thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, and relationships, and how all of that affects the body. SMART brings that understanding into a structured, teachable program.
What SMART Covers
SMART (Stress Management and Resilience Training) is delivered as a series of practical sessions. Topics include recognizing the physiology of the stress response, attention and intention practices, reframing and gratitude, sleep and recovery, and building habits that survive a real clinical schedule.
Who It Is For
Clinicians and care teams carrying heavy panels and administrative load. Organizations trying to reduce burnout and retain staff. Caregivers in the Sandwich Generation, balancing aging parents, children, and work.
